The 4K examination makes it possible to assess the risk of emergence and development of aggressive prostate cancer even 20 years in advance. 4K-Test contains a special diagnostic algorithm for prostate cancer that takes into account the levels of as many as four kallikreins in blood plasma. Many experts claim that the 4K-Test performed on the basis of a blood sample makes it possible for men to detect prostate cancer at a very early stage and represents a real breakthrough in early detection of this carcinoma.
Who should havethe molecular 4K examination?
The examination is recommended for men aged 40–80 years, who:
- have been preliminarily diagnosed and are considering a primary or secondary biopsy
- are in the genetically-conditioned risk group (with a family history of prostate cancer in the father, paternal uncle or grandfather)
